Meet Our Committees

Our committees provide prayerful leadership, accountability, and support for the ministries of FUMC Burleson. Working together, these teams help steward our resources, shape our mission, and ensure our Church Family is cared for well.

Administrative Council

Oversees the general mission and ministries of the church. The council coordinates the work of all committees, sets church-wide goals, and ensures alignment with the church’s vision and values.

The administrative council is comprised of the committee chairs, staff, and three to four at-large members.

Nominating Committee

Identifies, recruits, and develops church leaders. The committee helps match members’ gifts and talents with opportunities to serve and ensures continuity in leadership roles.

Pastor-Parish Relations

Serves as the connection between the pastor, staff, and congregation. The committee supports the pastor’s ministry, encourages healthy communication, and helps nurture strong relationships within the church family.

Finance Committee

Oversees the financial life of the church — budgeting, stewardship, and financial accountability. This committee works closely with other groups to ensure resources are managed faithfully and transparently.

Board of Trustees

Manages and maintains church property, buildings, and equipment. The trustees ensure facilities are safe, functional, and used in support of the church’s ministries and community outreach.
