Tamara grew up in Quitman, Texas and graduated from Quitman High School. She obtained an Associates Degree in Marketing with a minor in Visual Merchandising from Tyler Junior College, as well as, completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Christian Education from Texas Wesleyan University. 

As Director of Children’s Ministry, Tamara plans and implements all things “kid-related” at FUMC Burleson. Her main goal is to provide fun, creative, Bible-based programming for infants-5th grade.

Tamara really gets to know the children in her care -along with their parents- making sure that they are comfortable in their church home and they feel like they are an integral part of the FUMCB family.

Tamara and her husband Tim reside in Burleson along with their daughter Emma Elizabeth. 

She enjoys reading, painting, drawing, listening to many different musical genres, and watching classic movies. When she gets a chance she also likes to go hiking, canoeing, and fishing.
