SECURITY POLICY

I. Purpose

          This document will serve as a guideline and inventory of Security policies maintained by the Trustees for the Security issues concerning the First United Methodist Church of Burleson.

 

II. Authority

          This document is authorized by the Board of Trustees and any variations or exceptions to this policy must be first approved by the Board of Trustees and when appropriate, the Church Council.

 

III. Policy Life

          This policy will remain in effect until such time as the proper authority may change or terminate it.

 

IV. Required Policies

          A. Building Security: Fire and asset protection from theft

          B. Financial Security: Insurance bonds, etc

          C. Computer, Video & Software Security

          D. Transportation Rental Security: bus rental for youth/adults

          E. Annual Inspections

                   1. Fire Alarm (certified)

                   2. Fire Sprinkler System (certified)

                   3. Fire Extinguishers (tagged)

                   4. Parsonage Security

          F. Bi-Annual Inspections

                   1. Propane Tank (certified)
