Pre-School Classes

The Pre-School classes at First United Methodist church Burleson are Monday through Thursday form 9:30 am - 2:30 pm. The ages accepted in this program are from 6 months to 4 years old including Pre-Kindergarten.

The Purpose

The First United Methodist Pre-School Program is an outreach ministry to families of the church and community. It enables parents some time each week in which they may leave their children and have some time to themselves. They can feel secure that children will be receiving proper care and Christian training and guidence. The children can grow in understanding and love for themselves, their family, and others in the world. They can grow in the awareness that God loves them and that Jesus is a special friend. They will enjoy creative expression in music, art, and play. A program for learning is planned for each age level, and regular schedules are followed. The Pre-School program is available to any child, regardless race, creed or national origin.

The Child's Attendance Eligibility

Each child must have an enrollment form, medical form, and an immunization record on file. We do not accept children with colds or runny noses caused by colds. If your child exhibits any sign of illness he/she will be more comfortable at home.

Your child must be fever free for 24 hours after a contagious disease before bringing him/her back to Pre-School. This includes diarrhea and vomiting as well.

What to Bring

Lunch, drink and napkin in a lunch box.
Necessary food, plastic bottles, and spoons for babies.
Disposable diapers for babies, toddlers and two's not yet trained. Pull-ups for those only seriously potty training.
Change of clothing. Any child of any age can have an accident or spill something.
Blanket to cover with during nap time. Cribs and mats are furnished.

What to Do

Put your child's name on everything
Dress your child in simple washable clothes. We suggest wearing tennis shoes and socks.
We discourage bringing toys, books, etc.
Please accompany your child to class in the morning and sign the attendance sheet at the classroom door. Please drop your child off between 9:30 and 10:00 am.
Please wait at the classroom door for child pickup in the afternoon. No child will be released to a person the teacher does not know or has been informed will be picking the child up in the afternoon. Please pick your child up by no later than 2:30 pm.

Tuition

Fees are per month and per child. The fees are due the first day of the month your child comes each month. There is a registration fee of $150.00 due at the time of registration and is non-refundable.
