Garage / Storage Facility Policy

I.                    Purpose

This document will serve as a guideline and inventory of Garage/Storage maintained by the Trustees for the storage issues concerning the First United Methodist Church of Burleson.

II.                 Authority

This document is authorized by the Board of Trustees and any variations or exceptions to this policy must be first approved by the Board of Trustees and when appropriate, the Church council (aka the Administrative Board). 

III.               Policy Life

This policy will remain in effect until such time as the Trustee’s may change or terminate it.  Policy will be reviewed annually.

IV.              Required Policies

This policy requires the Trustees to establish and maintain these guidelines concerning the following storage issues:

A.    Vehicles must be parked in designated areas.

B.     Written request for storage units must be submitted to the Trustees, and it is understood that the Garage Superintendent may decline storage on any item. It is also understood that any item not given permission to store by the Garage Superintendent will be disposed of.

C.    Storage units will be assigned to users by designated Trustee of storage.

D.    It is the responsibility of the tenant to keep assigned unit in a neat and orderly manner.

E.     All seasonal storage must be returned to areas designated.

F.     Inventory (optional) should be submitted to designated Trustee of inventory.

G.    There are no smoke / fire sensors located in storage facility,

1.                     NO combustible liquids will be stored.
